To review your 2026 drug plan, please follow these instructions.
-
Step 1: Access the plan finder
- Go to medicare.gov.
- Click “Health and drug plans” or “Find health and drug plans”.
- You can log in to a Medicare.gov account to pre-populate your information or search as a guest.
- Enter your ZIP code and select the option for “Medicare drug plan (Part D)”.
-
Step 2: Update your information
- Update your medication list: Add or remove prescriptions, specifying the drug name, dosage, and frequency.
- Select preferred pharmacies: Add or edit your preferred pharmacies, including mail-order options.
-
Step 3: Compare plans
- The tool will display available Part D plans for the upcoming year.
- The results are sorted by the lowest estimated total cost, which includes both premiums and drug costs, to help you find the most cost-effective option.
- Review the details of each plan, looking at factors like the formulary (list of covered drugs), potential out-of-pocket costs, and pharmacy network.
-
Step 4: Enroll
- If you are happy with your current plan and it is still the lowest-cost option, you do not need to take action as it will likely auto-renew.
- If you find a new plan you prefer, select the “Enroll” button next to it and follow the prompts to finalize your choice.
- Changes will take effect on January 1st of the following year.
